I am listening to this song, I am unable to comprehend it and so not feeling that good... Asked a colleague to translate the song for me. I wish I get a seat in the flight to Karachi tonight - inshaAllah...
Syed Mohammad Shahid who lives in Lahore, picked me up from Imran House Lahore and took me as a guest to University of Central Punjab which is the parent chapter of Mohammad Ali Jinnah University (MAJU) in Karachi. He teaches Islamic Banking at UCP to students of MBA programme, and today was final presentations that his students were going to deliver, so he took me as a guest judge.
The premises of the University is good - compact, yet detailed - i.e. having a well furnished library and having Internet facility at every corner. The building is also very well maintained - no leakages or seepages.
I sat on the front row inside the class - a lecture hall well furnished with proper multimedia facilities. The first group gave the presentation which was not at all attractive, and then came the second group which was impressive. I went reminiscent of my times when we used to give presentations at University of Karachi, and especially for the course of Business Communication.
According to Nadeem, my cousin has "so executive looks". He surely does have those looks. And walking besides him at the University while the students were talking to him cheering at him before the presentations etc made me feel a little "executive" too ;)
After this we left for a biryani session, and he dropped me back to Imran House.
Who says Lahore is good at food? Lahore might be good at "eating", but not good at food At All! People eat here quite much, but the quality of food is weird. You can have a weird smell, some kind of a weird oil/ghee in every dish. The karahi is not at all like a karahi, it's like bhuna gosht.
Anyway - I have had a bad experience over all of food at Lahore.
Ahlul Bait reached the land of Karbala. Imam Hussain (a.s.)'s horse stopped going any further. He tried with some other horses, but none moved. Although Imam Hussain (a.s.) knew this, but there was a message of trying again and again. He (a.s.) asked the people of that land about the name of this place, and they took different names, and at last one old man said it is also known as Karbala.
Bibi Zainab (s.a.) asked Imam Hussain (a.s.) to leave this place as soon as possible, as she was feeling worried as soon as they reached Karbala. But Imam Hussain (a.s.) knew that this was the right place where they are supposed to stop.
The caravan was stopped by Hur, who was still with the Yazidi forces. Imam Hussain (a.s.) ordered His men to water the soldiers and animals of Hur, as they were thirsty, so much so that a man due to the sheerness of thirst was putting the mashkeezah to his ears till he was helped by Imam Hussain (a.s.) to put it to his mouth, till he was satisfied with water.
