Momin Hussain Dawoodi (also known as Taju Chachcha) and his wife passed away within a couple of months' time. Ammi and Abbu went to condole their children on their huge loss - I drove them to Jaffar-e-Tayyar Society - Malir.
Upon reaching their place, their children (Rubina baji and his brother known as Pappa bhai - I don't know his name) came to Ammi and wept a lot at their loss. We are not relatives to the Dawoodi family, but are very close friends for many many years! And just witnessing these warm gestures by both my Ammi and their kids shook my inner self for a moment - they were so simple people - with so warm and deep feelings for each other! The next thing that came to my mind was a theory from Stephen Covey's book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" about 'love' - that it is not a noun - instead, it is a verb. So I vaguely realized that socializing and meeting relatives and neighbors (especially the old ones) is a very necessary thing - it keeps the bond alive and warm! (it is also helpful for the good health of old aged people - refer to the following link for reason:
The whole trip to our old neighborhood was very refreshing - just as if meeting your own roots!
